Paccar Electronic Service Analyst ESA 4.4.9.255 software

Overview

ESA 4.4.9.255 has been released to production. This release includes support for P30-1031-116 CECU3 software. The full VIN must be used as the chassis number for new or replacement CECU3 control units this release.

Changes Implemented

New Features:

·         The full VIN must be used to set the chassis number

o    The engine VIN can be set as the chassis number for new CECU3 control units

o    Technicians will not be allowed to set the chassis number to only 6 characters; all 17 characters of the VIN must be set as the chassis number

o    Chassis files will download the full 17-character VIN and will allow flashing stations to set the chassis number to the VIN

§  The VIN must be set in EWI BOM for this to be supported

§  Only 6 characters will be used if the VIN is not set in EWI BOM

·         P30-1031-116 NAMUX 3 CECU3 software supported

o    Optional update

§  HC Burn Popup-Warning Sound occurs during parked-NAMUX3

§  No Regen Inhibited Due to Switch popup

§  Primary Air Faults sent incorrect FMIs.  FMI 3 and 4 should be swapped

§  Alarm sound continues for low oil pressure after engine stops

§  DPF Telltale does not flash during soot levels 2-3 for PB trucks during regen in PTO

Defect fixes:

·         Setting the full 17-character VIN for the chassis number on a new CECU3 will only accept the last 6 digits for the chassis number

Known Issues:

·         Restoring parameters to an ICU using an ECAT file with a Q21-1029 part number causes ESA to crash

·         Replacing an ICU with a CECU3 and downloading an ECAT file with a Q21-1029 part number will not limit the flashing options to P30-1030 as it should

·         JPRO DLA+ 2.0 and DLA+Wireless 2.0 will not detect PACCAR Display 1.0 on 2016 vehicles without the use of a crossover cable; not a significant concern since 2016 vehicles should not have PACCAR Display 1.0 devices installed
